International Division
Business is no longer bound to one region - or even a single continent. Global logistics, the Internet and advanced communications technology have changed all that.
Today, even small and medium-size companies are able to conduct business across borders with the same capabilities and opportunities of a large global corporation. It's a whole new world out there, and Rushton has adapted to this still-emerging field with an international division to assist clients with a full array of global tax and accounting strategies for companies that are:
- Importing
- Exporting
- Conducting business internationally
- Operating with offices in another country
- Operating as a foreign-owned subsidiary in the United States
Our Growing International Base in Georgia
The demand for international business services has been rapidly growing in Georgia. Rushton's home base of Northeast Georgia alone is home to 47 Fortune 500 firms, more than 300 manufacturing and processing concerns, and 41 international companies representing 16 foreign countries. Rushton has partnered with a number of these firms, often working across several different time zones in a single day to assist with numerous international finance strategies and reporting.
Georgia's international flair emanates from its strategic location as well as its pro-business environment. Georgia is fortunate to have proximity to the world's largest airport in Atlanta, two deep water ports on the Georgia coast, and an extensive road and rail transportation network linking the state to over 80 percent of U.S. markets within two truck transit days.
Our International Alliance
As our clients have grown and expanded globally, Rushton saw the need early on to broaden our expertise in international tax and accounting. In addition to building those resources among our own staff over the past few years, we formed strategic affiliations with Crowe Globall and CPAmerica, an international association of CPA and business consulting firms.
CPAmerica, whose members must meet strict qualifications, includes more than 350 offices throughout the United States. However, the organization's reach is truly global through its alliance with Crowe Global, one of the 10 largest networks in the world of independent accounting and advisory services firms in more than 100 different countries.
This alliance provides Rushton with worldwide business and financial resources, a vast knowledge base and global expertise, and an even wider array of referral options in numerous specialized areas of international tax and accounting.
