Gail Iverson, CPA
Gail says the most gratifying part of her position as Business Services Manager at Rushton is the collaborative approach to service. "I really enjoy the fact we work as a team. And I appreciate the integrity of the people I work with." She manages "write-ups" (periodic financial statements for clients), reviews them and assigns staff members to work with new clients to bring solutions for data processing and their payroll services. Gail also applies her expertise to tax planning and preparation. She volunteers as Treasurer for The Guest House, a private, nonprofit adult day health care center in Gainesville.
Gail graduated from Valdosta State College in 1982 with a BA in Accounting, and became a CPA in 1986. She attends the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Flowery Branch.
A Personal Glimpse
Gail enjoys playing tennis, going to movies, swimming with her family at Gainesville's Frances Meadows Aquatic Center, playing piano at her church, and, most satisfying of all, simply being with the family and their pets. She and her husband, Dan, have two boys and two girls: Daneka, 14; Isaac, 12; and twin toddlers, Morgan and Madison. And when you ask about the highlights of her life, giving birth to twins ranks pretty high, along with traveling to China to adopt their beautiful "Southern Chinese" daughter, Daneka, who now speaks with a clearly southern accent.
One of the things Gail looks forward to every year in her position as Treasurer for The Guest House, is the opportunity to bring Christmas gifts to the regular guests there. "It's a very loving place with a great staff," she says. Before she joined the Guest House Board in 2005, she was not aware that an adult day care facility was available locally. But her involvement has been very rewarding.
