 Tiffany Whitmire, CPA

As Director of Business Consulting, Tiffany is in regular contact with her clients, which is a part of the job she likes best. “I love working with clients and talking to them on a personal level, too. I think it’s an important to get to know them well.”

Developing a relationship with clients is important. That area of the job is one a lot of people might not realize. “There is a misconception about accounting. We are not locked away in a cubicle. We are constantly in contact and working with our clients.”

Tiffany was drawn to accounting by the problem-solving aspect of it. “I’ve always enjoyed math, and accounting fits well with my personality. Accounting is solving a big puzzle.” Tiffany joined Rushton & Company in 2005 as an associate and was promoted to senior associate and then Director of Business Consulting. In her current role, she assists clients in training their accounting staffs and developing efficient month-end closing procedures. Additionally, Tiffany advises clients in selection of accounting software and assists in preparing forecasts and projections.

A Personal Glimpse
A Hall County native, Tiffany has strong ties to northeast Georgia. She grew up in Lula and graduated from North Georgia College & State University with degrees in accounting and finance.

Despite a full plate at work, Tiffany finds time to help in the community. She serves on the Board of Directors of Junior League of Hall County as the organization’s treasurer. “I joined Junior League so that I could volunteer in the community with other professional women. I love being in the League because it’s amazing to see that many women bond together to support a common goal that enriches our community. The Thrift Sale is my favorite because it’s always packed with people who get items they need that they wouldn’t normally be able to afford. Also, being treasurer I get to see all the money we raise each year going directly back into the community through the organizations we support.” For fun and to relax, Tiffany enjoys playing tennis.
